Genuine Healey Sprite for sale, complete with yard trailer (not suitable for towing). Bought as a project it has had a considerable amount of work done on it but need more to finish it. The transom has been professionally strengthened, the deck has been stripped of all its paint, professionally filled & faired & is in primer. The hull needs a minor repair where a crude bow eye was fitted but the gel coat will possibly clean up OK. I have the bespoke metal rubbing strip with the original inserts. The inserts may well be reusable with a clean-up. There are two new fibreglass front seat moulded off original Sprite seats. £2500.00

We believe that this quite rare 4/5 seat boat is a 1960s Broom motor launch; 13ft plus in length and with a beam of 5ft plus. Sadly, it has been unused for some years due to the pressures of life and medical complications preventing my plans to refurbish her. The boat was in the water on the river Deben before the pandemic to determine if there were any leaks prior to refurbishment. We have the original ply floorboards and I intended to replace the anti-slip material. The hull and decking are in general good order, needing TLC, as well as painting and varnishing.

The trailer is of age and needs the same; we have replaced bearings and supports and tyres. The engine is an 18hp Johnson 2 stroke. The cover has been, and still is, effective in keeping the boat dry inside but would need replacing as it is stiff with age and has algae growth on the outside.

1964 Delta Nymph

Rare 1964 Delta Nymph for sale – the last of only 10 outboard powered Delta’s ever built by Ray Wright. Owned for many years by a CMBA member the boat was used on Lake Windermere. 1963 Moonfleet White Satan

1963 Moonfleet White Satan for sale complete with road trailer – lovingly restored it is in excellent condition and appeared on display at the London Boat Show in 2018. GRP hull with mahogany decks and maple veneer inlay and powered by a 1500cc Sunbeam Alpine engine the boat is capable of 40 MPH. A beautiful example of a rare model.

Bluebird Jetstar 520

She has a semi-deep V hull powered by a Ford Essex 3.4 litre V6 engine, coupled to a Castoldi 05 Jetdrive, using a Castoldi raw water intercooler.

I brought this boat as a shell in 2010 and set about restoring it (I’ve run a classic car garage for my day job since 1986).

The carpets are bespoke marine carpets and can be easily removed if there’s too much sand / mud inside to be able to wash it down.

The engine is the South African version which I rebuilt using a mild upgrade cam; it has a Weber 38 twin downdraught carburettor Pertronix electronic ignition and a marine alternator. The carburettor was also re-jetted to achieve a spritely, but reliable 185 bhp. I completely re-wired it and all the gauges are quite recent, everything works!

The jet drive gearing was changed to suit and a new impellor was fitted. There are some spares to go with the boat.

I have loved this beautiful boat which is admired wherever she goes, It has been to shows and several CMBA meetings.

MK 3 Albatross for sale

This boat has undergone a full restoration with a fully rebuilt 1600 GT cross flow engine. Bored out to 1680cc. Pushing 90hp. The engine is only 4.5 hours into a 25 hour run in period.

YARECRAFT 12ft marine ply Ski Boat or Runabout 

Seats six people. Built approx. 1960 and single family owned since 1966. The boat was originally called ‘Seaspray’ but we renamed it ‘Topsy’. ‘Modern’ (1996) Johnson 25hp outboard engine. Also, the original (c1960) Gale (part of OMC) 25hp outboard motor is included in the sale. Between 1966 and 1994 the boat was stored in the Lake District and used on family holidays to water-ski on Lake Windermere. It was registered on Lake Windermere and its number was 10569.

In 1994 it was taken to Orkney, where it was stored by family friends and occasionally used on Eynhallow Sound. We enjoyed using it when visiting our friends. It was returned to us in 2015 and now is stored at our house near Stratford on Avon. It is dry stored and there is no rot. Sale includes a nearly new trailer.

Poncelet 5 metre 1970 with 1979 Mercury Straight 6-cylinder 90hp ‘Tower of Power’

Belgian Classic Wooden speed boat. Owned since 2006, age and disability now forces sale.

We are having to re advertise the boat as she must go, preferably to a new home with a CMBA member. She has been prepared for this season, engine run. Trailer had a once over and new Alko hitch damper fitted as a result.

She ran at Cardiff last year after 3 years of not being used and went like a dream as usual. She belongs on the water!

She is literally ready for use, sale at the right price includes 6 freeboard fenders, lines, tonneau cover, full cover, engine cover, spare fuel tank. We currently even have 2 unopened 4 litre bottles of Mercury 2 stroke oil, (one other part used) and about 15 litres of treated and stabilised fuel. 2 cans of Fogging Oil. Trailer lighting bar included.

We know Cornwall is a long way away but for a sale we can always travel closer.

Potted recent history. 2015, renovated by Henwood and Dean of Hambleden, Henley-on -Thames, re-painted and varnished. Re-upholstered with a new seating configuration, 2 front seats with rear bench seat for 2/3 persons and a folding step for ease of entry added. New cover 2015 by Penrose Sailmakers Falmouth. Stored indoors.

Engine looked after by Mercury Specialists, serviced each year of use and new impeller every service. New hydraulic trim tilt pump and hoses fitted in 2017. New engine bottom seals. new fuel filter and fuel lines, new battery and impeller August 2021.

Twin axle braked trailer custom built 2006, good condition twin 1500kgs axles braked,(Overall capacity rated 2000kgs gross). Two complete brand-new axles fitted 2017 including brakes and bearings, along with brake cables, wheels and tyres. New ALKO damper fitted March 2022. Actual towing weight approx 1160kg.

Shakespeare Mini Clubman for sale

This “Classic” mono hull sports boat, was purchased new in the late seventies from Jackie Wilson, the well known power boat racer,  and has been in the family ever since.

Fitted with A 50 HP 4 Cylinder (Blue Band) Mercury Outboard Engine, this is a very fast boat for its size. The hull was originally designed by David Burgess for the NE Monohull Class racing series, in the mid 1970’s. Still in its original colour, the boat is in very good condition considering it is 45 years old. Stored and sheeted in a dry and well ventilated garage for most of its life, has ensured this. The 50 HP Mercury was fitted in the mid eighties. and replaced the original 35 HP Mercury. This increase in power completely transformed the boat, with significant improvements in both handling and performance. This is a very well balanced package. Regular servicing of the engine has also ensured this is in very good condition. Winterised at the end of the season, after thoroughly flushing in fresh water, has been the norm. The cooling water pump impeller was replaced last year and provides a strong jet of water.

The only issue is starting this engine from cold, which is becoming more difficult, particularly as the engine has a manual start. Once running however, the engine runs well, pulling strongly at all revs without fail. Restarting from warm is never a problem, this will require investigation.

A fully galvanised road trailer, complete with jockey wheel and manual winch, completes the package.

Ellan. Classic early 1900’s 13′ Mahogany Motor Boat

Professionally restored barn find. All original hull planks re-caulked and varnished. New decks fitted using Honduras mahogany salvaged from a Bristol pub! Coventry Victor ‘Midget’ 2 cylinder petrol engine. ‘Spare’ engine included in sale. Ellan is a 13’ long carvel construction mahogany tender. She has a Coventry Victor Midget MW2 engine which is a 4 stroke 340cc, 5hp, flat twin unit. The Davit points for lifting tells us that originally Ellan was a tender to something much larger and grander. This also probably explains the divided areas in the boat with the crew member sitting forward whilst the owner and guests sat in the back.

JetMarine Swift 15 – 1985 with BMW 190hp inboard and PP 65 Jet Drive with Trim

For sale only to a good loving home. After 13 years of ownership she is sadly rarely used now as we have a bigger classic boat to accommodate the grandkids. Manufactured by Jet Marine of Stockport she is one of only 25 boats built and one of only six with the BMW B190 6 Cyl engine, gauges and livery. It was an expensive high quality boat in its day and sold mostly as a fast (45mph+) tender for superyachts and sold to Royal households around the world (Saudi etc.) including one on the Royal Yacht Britannia. The boat is 95% original and sits on the original Hallmark 4-wheel braked roller coaster trailer, only the original two small rear jump seats are missing. It’s been used as family ski boat and at various CMBA events in the past; Chertsey, Cardiff & River Soar. It’s got low hours and in overall very good condition with just a few small blemishes commensurate with its age.  The windscreen has suffered crazing from the sun but otherwise the hull and decks are all sound and she polishes up well. Albatross Continental MK 1 with Coventry Climax Engine

As previously active members of the CMBA, our much-admired Albatross Continental Mark 1, which has featured at many of the events both coastal and inland, is now for sale.  As our years advance, we are now turning our free time towards other leisure pursuits, especially with the family.

Our Albatross Continental MK 1 number 1094 was built in 1957/58 and was only one of the 163 fitted with a 1220cc Coventry Climax engine.  This engine has been completely rebuilt and is running well.  The boat has been rewired and fitted with a safety kill switch.  New instruments were fitted in keeping with the original style.  With good upholstery and all other original fittings, this boat is an excellent example of its type and can be said to be in very good condition.  It is also complete with its original ‘frog’ navigation lamp and the original mast for a pennant.  It also has its rear mast as well.

It sits on a rebuilt but original trailer and is fitted with new suspension units, hubs, wheels and tyres and naturally tows very well.

The boat comes complete with a fitted tonneau cover and an overall cover, both of which are new, together with quite a lot of spare parts.
