A last chance to get on the water and enjoy your boat before the long winter layup. Ivy lake is a good sized circular lake with a decent concrete slipway, toilets and a clubhouse with tea and coffee but no hot food. We will have use of the lake from 9AM until 4PM Entry is £35 per boat.

To ensure that the event is viable, the CMBA and Chichester water-ski club have agreed a minimum level of entries. it is therefore very important that all entries and payments are received before October 24^th. If the minimum entry is not achieved by this date the meeting will have to be cancelled and payments will be returned. As we need to confirm numbers before the event please note that all entries must be booked in advance and we will be unable to accept any entries on the day.

If we have a few small boats and hydroplanes entered we will have a couple of low wake sessions on the day to enable them to run circuits without having to contend with large wakes.

About the Site

Ivy Lake is the home of Chichester Water-ski Club and is situated just to the south of the A27 Chichester by-pass. To access the lake, take the B2145 southward from the A27 roundabout signposted Selsey, Hunston. The entrance is on the left about 50 yards from the roundabout. However there's a very tight hairpin turn through the gates, so you are advised not to turn left into the entrance with a boat in tow even if the gate is open!

If the gate is unmanned and shut it will be on the latch, In which case I suggest you drop off a passenger ready to open the gate for you. Then carry on down the road 1/2 mile to the roundabout and come back, making a right turn into the lake entrance. It is advised that with a boat on tow you must approach from this roundabout to the south and then turn right into the entrance.  Once through please shut the gate behind you.

Arrive anytime from around 09:00 there will be room to park. We should ideally have around 14/20 boats coming on the day which is an informal gathering. Any queries do get in touch. Important, we do have a top limit of 24 boats, in the event of oversubscription entries will be allocated on a first come first served basis

We will have the use of the lake all day until late afternoon/dusk. Facilities ashore are a grassed area around the pontoons with picnic tables, toilets and a clubhouse with tea and coffee available. The slipway is a textured concrete slip which makes launch and recovery easier.

The BOOKING DEADLINE is the 24th October, if entry numbers are not met by this date then the event will not be able to run so please get your entry in early.

NOVICE - An event on lake water where there is no tide or flow and little likelihood of large waves. In the event of an emergency/breakdown, you would signal for assistance, paddle/row or drift ashore. Ideal for inexperienced beginners, families or untried boats or engines.
