So'ton Water Run in March
Re: So'ton Water Run in March
I think we're looking (weather permitting) at the 15th March.

Sounds good to me.
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

I PM'd the Stratford people. There are bound to be extra seats, so we can encourage passengers too..

this is where I get the jitters on what to try and bring. Min or Bluebell have tested motors and bar an unexpected issue are good for what is actually a long trip if we intend to get right round from Itchen to Jolly and back. Shaky, really want to try her but her motor is quite unknown and I fear could prevent others doing the trip if part way I felt she was not up to it.

I wouldn't worry about it Russ, that's why most of us prefer to go out in a group. We are all piloting old, potentially unreliable boats - look at poor old Mike T at Falmouth last year - his Johnson let him down every day of the rally! Anyway you have a Merc now . . . Good test for the Shakey I say.

The 15th is fine with me, let's hope the sun shines on.. well, I was going to say the righteous but I'm not sure how many of us are, and I'm not at all sure i can spell it correctly, so perhaps I won't.
