Any idea on model and age before I buy this

Post by Timc »

Hi
I have the chance to buy this old Fletchervwith a 33hp on the back, been stored in a barn for last 26 years and not in bad shape. All iriginal and even has iriginal seats in vgc fitted.
Looking at buying it as a enter project as it’s very retro.
Any advice gratefully accepted.

Looks like a Fletcher 129, very late 1960's or early 1970's.

Is it worth much as don’t want to throw a load of money at it.

That is for you to decide, old boats, like a lot of things, have no "Book" value, it's what it's worth to you, and what the seller is prepared to take for it, it's that simple, if you like the boat and it's in your price range think about it, if you are unsure, look for something else.

The Windermere registration stickers will indicate when it was last used.

If I recall correctly, the 33hp engine is heavy for its power and especially noisy - when it runs…!
