just thought i would show you a before and after of my broom saturn, we launched her two weeks ago!
hope you like her and can see how much work went in to her which took 9 long months!
i couldnt of done this with out the help of neil greenfield who regularly kicked me up the back side and told me to stop faffing around and get on with!!
and to simon (sicobra) who sourced and had made my bow rails and lent me his pods to copy.
i know the front cap is missing before any one mentions it, i have one on order!
the two lads in the picture are my kids and they love it and when the rain stops they will take her out on thier own and thier mates! under my supervision
please enjoy and keep up the good work on the forum

Congratulations, she is looking really good. Well done!
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Nice one Jon!
Enjoyed our chats and glad you finally got there - now just wait for the dark side to try and convince you a 65hp Merc is required...

It took about 9months and most progress happened over winter in a very cold garage!!! Towards the end she came together very quickly and suddenly it was Finnished !! And wow she felt gracious on the water even tho weve only got 10 horses pushing us along, but as broom broom said tha dark side will push for a bigger engineWoodwych wrote:Lovely.

It was my first restoration and quite an eye opener, but would recommend it firmly.

ya... should have painted it... lol... i see your spelling isn't as good as your gel work!!!
looks fabulous and not afraid to use it... im glad you decided not to leave her on the drive way, as a museum display and stuck her in the river.
If the sun ever shines on us, she will delivery hours of joy.
well done chap...NEXT!!!
