Those big Mercs don't like to idle at the best of times but an extra dose of TCW3,she's definitely not going to like it. These engines run best ,as you showed us on the run up to Lough Key

You may be right, I set the idle up on 25:1 but it was on 50:1 in Ireland so it may be better now if I try again. I will have a fiddle with it on Loch Lomond in a couple of weeks time. She seemed to run OK otherwise but needs a little fine tuning methinks, I couldn't be bothered in Ireland, I was too busy enjoying myself & the 2nd w/e was a bit lumpy to be hanging over the back with a spanner & screwdriver!

Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!
