Bendix coils

Post by rogerfishburn »

Hello chaps, I have a couple of Anzani 400's and a Perkins 40 that i would like to restore so I wondered if anyone knew if there was somewhere I could source NOS Bendix coils or if anyone out there could refurbish mine. Any advice would be gratefully received apart from telling me to scrap them of course. Many thanks for taking the time to read this
Cheers Roger

Do you know what the model numbers are? I seem to remember they're externally mounted, rather than under flywheel? Are the same as the Oliver 35hp?

There is a coil available to substitute the discontinued Bendix coil.
It is identical to the Bendix coil except for the location of the spark
plug wire connection. Instead of being located on the top (or bottom)
its offset 22.5 degrees to one side. I'm going to try to attach an eBay
link. I'm new here. Hope it works.
