Merc 115 "Lid Latch"

Merc 115 " Lid latch" ( clip for top cover/lid ) a mate broke it last week & he would like to know where to get one?
if he cant get one what is the best way to improvise? BUT he would like to get one.

I will take a look at our 'stock' here at work & see if I have one here - I should have.
