.....minimum do I need for a broom aquarius?
It will mainly be used on speed restricted lakes but also an odd trip out the estuary.
20 knots max would be ok.

I think as a minimum you would be looking at 75hp, the Aquarius is 16ft and quite heavy with all of the upholstery etc also the number on board will play a big part.A scan of internet classifieds shows most boats are fitted with 90 to 150hp. Even if you intend to be boating on inland water the occasional trip to the estuary suggests a decent bit of power would be wise for safety's sake
