Mercury 500 seized engine

Finaly took the engine apart.
piston and rings knackerd
number 4 piston has 2 piston rings all the others have 3 rings
number 2 ps was total seized into bore took lot efort to get it out
Out come
Might break it up for spare`s if anyone wants to contact me
or look for one that does not so much work

Hi Howard, If you interested in breaking, I need all the electric bits - starter motor, choke, solenoid, plug, wiring and switchbox, plus loom if it's cobra head and associated bits are in one piece? Let me know. rgds

Howard, I have a 500 powerhead I bought on ebay for £30.00, I don't know much about it but it turns over OK & you can have it for what I paid for it. It should fit your leg OK. I can bring it to Basildon if you are interested. If you want I can post a couple of pictures tomorrow for you. Geoff

Some one nicked the old engine block side of the house,it had a the fuel pump on it,so not sure what to do with this now
I did say i was going to buy the above block ,on ebay but waiting for my new cash card to come i see if can get out of it and could take your offer up ,ALICRITY
