Albatross Fender insert

Post by Jaguar »

I'm after a supplier for the rubber insert on my A Series. I have tried a sample of PVC1022 as supplied by Wilks and Sealsdirect but it's too big on the internal part of the insert. Anyone have any other suppliers or a boat length sitting in their garage?

cheers
Tim

From Seals Direct I used CS-1244 - it's a little flat so I put a round solid neoprene cord behind to bulk it out. Worked quite well.

"benh" had this re-manufactured. I need some too and have recently been in contact if anyone is interested.

Hi Tatraman, have you got details of the insert. Is BenH getting it remade or has he now got surplus stock?
cheers

I've sent an e-mail off saying at least two of us need inserts and asking about cost and whether he has them or needs a minimum order.Image

I believe the manufacturer's minimum order is 100m, at least it was the last time we asked.

If the cost is reasonable I would be willing to buy a length sufficient for a Mk1 Continental, a guess would be say 15 M?
Just let me know by PM.

I asked them recently and it was in the order of 750 quid - hence I went down the other route. (see above)

Yes, I too would like sufficient for two Albatrosses, one Continential and one classic so I would estimate the total to be 20 metres. Please put me down for this. Many thanks. Keith
