A "skimmer" speedboat

Can anyone give me any info on a small single seater "race type" boat made in grp, about 8' long, mono hull, the owner says its a "Skimmer" ( a later model was called a "Dart" ??? ) about 20 years old( or older ) , NOT much to go on yet but hope to see it on my return after Cardiff.
