Chris Loney injured in high speed crash

Post by puddleduck »

Chris had a pretty horrendous barrel roll at about 100mph last Sunday whilst testing their raceboat at Carr Mill dam. Knocked unconscious, he was rescued and brought ashore by the very able rescue team and taken to hospital at St Helens. He's broken a collar bone, cheek bone and suffered many cuts and bruises. I telephoned his family this evening and I'm delighted to report that he's still in hospital but now 'walking wounded' albeit a bit uglier than usual.

We all wish him a rapid recovery and send our best wishes to him and Helen. Chris hopes to be well enough to make a brief appearance at the BCMBR at the weekend.

Chairman Chris
