Dropped Sea Maid in the water to move the trailer axle and bunks further back to get more nose weight on the trailer - I did think of a quick run, but without support in an untested boat.... Those of us who do the Itchin and Scratchin runs will recognise the slipway; it would have been the most perfect run...5mph, SW, 21deg C, flat seas.
Remarkable only in that it was 80s speedboat day, with 4 Fletchers and a Raimar? with a horrid Force thing that took 10mins to get started before roaring off down river. Unfortunately some big boats came past going upriver and the resultant wakes caused the boat to rock about enough to tear off a section of the ali keel protector.
