Darby One Design

Post by Editor »

Hello, I read in a thread on here that a chap called Tim Measures was building a Darby One Design hydro.
I PM'd the guy who mentioned it, but no reply.

Could anyone who knows the boat and/or Tim Measures get in touch?

Cheers,

I've got tim's details somewhere. let me have a look round for you and I get back to you.

I saw the boat at both this years and last years river soar event. Its fantastic. He also has all the build photos which I would imagine to be very helpful as a reference point.

Ho...Lordy! Thanks Andy. That would be a marvellous help.
My intention with this model is to have it become a one class model kit that model boat clubs can compete with against each other in some sort of league. All using a proscribed motor, battery pack, etc.

I look forward to hearing from you.

No, just testing, though I'd have preferred a more topic-related comment, but I got that one wrong. You know what I mean, I'm sure.

I know this is not what you are after but in my search of everything "crackerbox" I came across this site.

No apology necessary, Tatra man. I got that one horribly wrong after a bad day and didn't mean to get tetchy.
Sorry.
Forum life is always a bit touch and go in my experience. Not just this one of course!

Thanks, sean-nos, I'll check it out.

I've now made contact with Tim Measures and we had a good old natter about his sterling project building a replica in his garage with hand tools!
