Here are the details:-
Launchsite is: Crosshouse Road, Southampton, S014. 9h30 meet in carpark. The slipway is shallow but wide (and slippery....) it has no mooring / pontoon facilities, so we'll work out a launch sequence on the day that sees the deeper draft and more fagile boats looked after.

Carpark is shown, the pay and display machine will take coins and cards. I think was about £4 for the day. Cars can be parked in the carpark, trailers to one side of the slipway. Bring locks / clamps.

Weather

Jolly Sailor Lands End Road, Old Bursledon, Southampton, SO31 8DN. Their pontoon is shown - if the weather is nice there can be other boats and we may have to raft up, so bring fenders. Plan is to get there by 12.

Hamble River speed limit from the markers at the entrance to the upper reaches is 6 knot / no wash zone. The Harbour Master is vociferous about this...and as there are pontoon moored yachts all the way along we need to be very considerate. From experience I think is about 35mins to get from the mouth to the Jolly Sailor.
Harbour dues I think these will be about £4 if asked for.....will check this one..

If the weather is not good enough to go up the Hamble we'll have a blast, slip and eat later at the Victory in Hamble.
Let me know numbers - that includes anyone wanting to be a pax, as I am sure there will be spaces (bring a lifejacket). Any questions, ask.

Hi Nick
Please count me in. I will have spare seats and passengers are very welcome. I will bring a selection of lifesavers and lifejackets. Looking forward to this first trip of the year. Let's hope the weather is kind to us on the day

& me + junior 1st mate!!
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Re: Itchin and Scratchin run - March 15th
and me hopefully with shaky. Middle mate possibly, any seats in a fairly sedate ride for First mate and mini mate if they came?? I would rather not be 4 up in shaky for first run as I am likely to
a) Need access to motor! climbing over seats
b) Try it out...which mini mate may not like!
Assuming it makes the Jolly can be four up back home.
