Hi Adam

I bought a retro look speedo from Faria - see link - as I couldn't find where to get my original one repaired.

http://www.faria-instruments.com/

That being said I am still trying to get the new one to work properly - need to check the speed with GPS at some stage.

Hope to catch up with you at the Griffin at sometime. Actually doing a Classic Car tour down that way in May but no time for boats I am afraid apart from a trip around Ramsey Island maybe.

Simmonds fitted from new with what, I believe, is the only running factory marinised Daimler 2.5 litre V8 (as fitted to the Daimler SP 250) in the UK. Please let me know if you find another! Believed to be Norman Buckley's race boat.

I would say white inserts. I have these and I think they will look good.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the cost and hassle if you aren't using it at night. If you are, I'd recommend a bow light and clear stern light on a pole or a transom light, rather than cut holes in the hull.
