Ivy Lake November 1st

Post by floater »

Once again I'm giving very early notice because like the spring date we need a set number of entries to enable the event to proceed. You therefore need to get it in your diary and post your entry ASAP. I have already had enquiries so will be sending out an e mail and entry form to past attendees shortly. If however you have not been before but wish to come along please send me a PM and I will send you a form.

‘Last Chance’ Autumn Test Day in the South

Get a last run out on the water on Sunday 1st November. The venue is Ivy Lake (the home of Chichester Water Ski Club) at Chichester, West Sussex.

The launching fee will be £25/boat. We will have use of the lake all day until late afternoon/dusk, launching will be DIY and there is room for all boats on pontoon moorings. Facilities ashore on the grassed area around the pontoons are basic with just Portaloos. There is no on site overnight camping, but there are lots of local campsites adjacent for those who want to or are daft enough to camp. The slipway is now a much improved textured concrete which should spare us any launch and recovery drama.

Early entry is imperative as The CMBA together with Chichester waterski club have set a minimum number of entries required to enable the event to proceed. If this number is not met by October 18th we will unfortunately be forced to cancel and return fees.

Please send me a PM with your personal email address, I can then send you an entry form.

See you there :wot: .

Anyone wanting to do this event is urged to get in touch with Dave ASAP as the deadline for entries is next Sunday (18th) & at the moment there is not enough entries for the event to go ahead by quite a long way. So if we don't want to loose it - sign up please!!

A very big Thank You to Dave for organising the last blast of the season, what a cracking day the weather was good the entertainment from the Hydroplanes was excellent and always a pleasure to see some new faces.

A big thank you also must go to John for his sterling launch and recovery work with his Landy and of course to our men in rubber assisting us on and off our trailers, for us you all made a great day into an excellent one as your efforts are always very much appreciated. Last but not least the boat ran well, always a bonus with a classic like Shadow particularly as she had not been run for 3 years. :perfect:

Sorry for the absence of the "White Driveway Repair" van !! :console: I was shocked at how many actually noticed that we wernt in it and also even asked us why!! :giggle:
So I spent today working on it to get it back on the road!, even if it is just to park it on David Knights Drive in a couple of weeks!! ;)
See you all there, we do a Driveway "weed removal service" for £275 with a guarentee that they wont come back for 5 years too!!
