Looks fab. That initial cleaning is immensely satisfying when you realise it's all do-able underneath the grime.
Bet they don't sell that gelcoat colour very often !

Re: With Vitsi 2014-2015 project
Progress has been good, and although I had initially thought the hull and deck would polish up, the poor wetting out of the glass and resin meant as I rubbed it down - more and more voids appeared in the gel coat, plus a small amount of osmosis along the water line.
Pics below are were I am today
I have tried to use up a few bits lying around the garage on this project, the" Dino stering" wheel, Nav lights and teak grab handles are from older projects
New tinted perspex in the screen, and still to be varnished, - hardwood handrails
Still to do - cover the grp edges with some green edging, I have 4 sheets of treadmaster from a chandlers closing down sale for floor covering, deck fittings, and some cushions and a cover, which I will attempt to make over the Winter on a s/h industrial sewing machine
My plan is - to use the 4 cyl s/s Mariner 45/50 I picked up a few months ago - so am hoping it will make a good boat for "Itchy" runs in the Solent The pictures make the boat look big - but she's only 13ft with a 5ft 7ins beam
So - hoping to arrive at 2015 with no boats or engines to restore..........just participating in more CMBA events
The only solution was the rub down the whole boat, grind out the osmosis and gel coat/ and glass voids, fill with epoxy marine filler - 3 coats of epoxy undercoat and 3 coats of 2 pack polyester top coat
and thanks to the warm autumn weather I have just managed to get this all done under the carport before today's 1st winter frost........... Pics below are were I am today

1ST FEB 2015 - Back on the trailer with the engine installed, - and after watching the great British sewing bee on the tele one cold evening, I have just purchased of eBay, a s/h Singer semi industrial sewing machine - and about to attempt making some trim and a cover

Nice work, is the trailer your own fabrication, looks very sturdy?
