finished polishing the lower hull today

Post by LOTUS30 »

We started with 180 grade wet and dry with soap and water, then with 500 grade still with soap and water. then used a power polisher with auto sol, and buffed by hand. finally waxed with a good car polish to protect it until i can paint the rest of the boat. andy b

Albatross continental 1960
Had a day of rubbing today, I have been soaking my rev counter cable in engine oil for a couple of weeks, it had surface rust so i have rubbed in copper slip and fitted heat shrink on the out side to keep the outer sheath from further corrosion.I also used this technique on my trailer brake cables as new ones were a 4 week wait Reassembled the dash I think it has an extra switch on it which i have left in to control the exhaust cooling water pump. andy b
