Will the boat and trailer fit in that space ? ? unless camera angle makes area looks deceptively small ! nice brickwork though and looking at pics gives me an incentive to sort my winter storage out . ! ! not an easy task

I would say it's 8'6" ? plenty big. just watch that dpc andy. As your not doing cavity you will need a couple of pillars in there too. good luck.

Yep it'll definatly fit. It's 20ft long and 8ft and a bit wide. Any thing is better than sitting under a tarpaulin on the in-laws garden.

Don't worry insulation and damp courses have all been thought of so that will be dealt with. If needed the boat can go in the garage (23ft) and the old mini and the Harley can go in the shed, but I'm very sure it won't come to that. I'm hoping the rain will hold out over the weekend despite te bank holiday forecast that way I can get the floor done.

Could do with a similar set up myself, did you do the brickwork and what are your rates?

Yep i did the brickwork, went quite well for a first attempt. If I can do it anybody can. So long as the first line of bricks is straight and level the rest is easy. The worst part so far has been carrying the 2 ton of Subase/hardcore from the drive through to the garden.

I've started the concreating Going to do it in 5 stages/sections. One done 4 to go.

Are you going to cut out the old window, and make door there ?.

or would it be easy if you put the boat in the front room. or by a boat that did not need fixing

Yep back wall and window are going so I can squeeze the boat and trailer through. Window will be reused in side of the shed to provide light (and air) whilst the roof will be perspex type to again let the light through.

Years of doing it outside have taught me nothing beats being dry (and warm) while working on boats and motors, so hope it's spot on when you're finished.

Well the sun has been out for the last few days and I've finally been able to finish the floor of the shed.



Even had enough concrete to build a base for a brick BBQ.




Now gotta measure up for the wood. Where's that tape measure
