BROOM 12 Foot speedboat - Novice owner

Post by going backwards »

hi,
my first post, new to owning any boat that is to big to float in my bath :giggle:

just got this boat, bought as a project for some day fun with the grandkids :wot: - if we get any summer

it was in a bit of an unloved state, spent several hours with a pressure washer, 3 bottles of CIF and numrous scouring pads, now looks a lot better, i filled it half way with some water, scientific reason to find any leaks ir weaknesses, and apart from one small leak to a rear corner the hull seems fairly sound.

it has two delapidated car seats in the front and a sorry looking bench seat in the back.

has anyone got a picture or description of what seating was originally was supplied?

You will need to post up some pictures for us to be able to help you, I am guessing it is fibreglass? Possibly a Gemini??
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!
