A little more progress.. have filled the bilge up with water.. and found a couple of leaks.. sorted them, and hopefully in the water next week, with ballast to determine the water line... happy days.. time to get insured!!!!

It looks fantastic.
I'm just starting something slightly less ambitious so please excuse what may be a stupid question.
Once you found the leaks how did you fix them?

she was leaking where someone had filled the joints between the planks with filler... which was rubbish.. so i have ground it alll out with a drimmel and filled with a flexible, adhehsive/sealant, like sikaflex.

Looks great, I'm going do my decking with black strips as well using epoxy mixed with graphite powder.

The hoofman deck seems are flexable adhesvive... does move, which cracks the varnish.. but not sure anyone can stop wood moving

STOP BLOODY raining... i need to get her in the water, to balance the ballast, batteries ( 120kg's worth ) and motor etc etc.. other wise ill miss Beale Park Boat Show
