One question though, what sort of foam did you use for the dash? You say 8mm foam, but was it a particular sort, as I have some carpet underlay foam that is about 10mm, and was wandering whether I could use that?

Hi, I used high density foam. But i can't see a reason why carpet underlay foam wouldn't be suitable. Try it out and see what its like.

The boat had its maiden voyage on Sunday at the bottom of Portsmouth Harbour, by Port Solent. I shall soon be a member of Portchester Sailing Club again, so will be able to use their slip in future.

She ran extremely well, the engine wasn't temperamental, which is a plus and she got up on the plane very quickly with two people on board, which again was unexpected due to the engine being only 18hp and the weight we have added to her in the rebuild.

I pottered around the bottom of the harbour for a while not far from the shore to run the engine in, and then opened her up a few times, never exceeding the 10knot speed limit obviously (Not that I had any idea of my actual speed). So here are a few photos of her maiden voyage. Oh and threes also a YouTube video below of her running. I Apologise for my sisters screaming in advanced. (It wasn’t that scary)
