Work is ongoing. Still have no rudder and no idea of shape or size.
Also measured the propeller and believe it to be wrong for boat. Think the diameter is too small and may have been fitted to suite water skiers. Shame as it has never been used, the rudder was lost during fitting in 1985.

Thanks rapier for your compliments and help. I deleted the rubber gasket after viewing your pics, seems a popular choice but may lead to getting wet, will have to see.

Thanks viva sportive, I will give you a call.
I had a bit of 2mm aluminium bent up (£20+vat-won’t break the bank) to over skin the dash. Cut it in and cut hole for steering assembly. The gauges it came with are all scrap so need to get a new set. Smiths copies available on eBay for £30 for a full set, but at that price I worry that the quality will be hopeless. Any ideas?

I am now a fully paid up member!😁
Back to work stiffening up a framing member that was hacked about at some point to get the exhaust pipes to the back of the boat. It had lost a lot of strength and generally wibbly wobbly.

The picture shown above with the Red Simmonds and the wooden bumpers belongs to me. Miss Pilgrim.

I have a ford 1500 marinised engine which needs fitting.

She's for sale if anybody is interested.

Does she still look the same? Are the wooden bumpers still on.
