Well I have now cleaned up as best I could the front seats and bench seat. Not perfect but close. Should get the boat back next week in time for a decent spell of weather I hope.

Here is an update of what I have done so far.

Finally in mid August I go the new engine fitted. 115hp 4 stroke Mercury Engine. This summer we only got 7 hrs done so next year I have to do a 3 hrs before I can put this engine through it's paces. Comes with new dials as well.

The old fuel tank needs repair, so will get this done during the winter.

New dials for fuel and speed.

Fuel separator was added by the dealer as well. Also an isolator switch added.

All cleaned up!

Looks a great job, seldom see these in as nice condition.

Yes, They are hard to find without any form of scratches. A friend of mine has one from new back in 1994 and still going! Same colour and strips as this one. My old red one is up the country near Coleraine. I have been told but the red has faded badly!

Below is the trim I want to remove and repair. What is the best way to cut these nuts from the bolts as they have rusted.

Image

I also want to remove this piece of stainless steel as it is a hazard!

Any suggestions is welcome!

Access is your biggest challenge. If you have enough room then a nut splitter may work: https://www.toolstation.com/nut-splitter-set/p80007
Otherwise a hacksaw blade carefully alongside the thread down the length to cut the side off the nut or a dremel with a cutting disc with plenty of pauses to let things cool?
