Danvercraft 150, pictures now uploaded

Post by CRG »

Hello, I have very recently joined the CMBA after renovating my 1963 Davercraft 150 speed boat. I have searched for some history behind this particular model but found very little. I would be interested to hear if anyone else owns one or if anyone has some background knowledge.
Thanks
Chris

Here's some info. To paste photos they need to be resized. In Windows I right click on a photo, click Resize Picture, the resize menu options are below, click large, click resize. Then go to Attachments & add files & submit.

Mmm, something wrong with the file attachment load..

Thanks.
I have resized the images to below 70k. Tried uploading as GIF, PNG and JPG, status symbol shows an Amber triangle, when 'clicked' shows a message 'Invalid image file' ?

Yes, seems to be a problem with the upload.

This was immaculately restored by a current CMBA member - great to see it has found a new home. What happened to that original screen they came fitted with?

Unfortunately it was in a very tatty and sorry state when I purchased. It looked as if it was submerged for a while - large holes in the hull, rotted trim and upholstery foam and a lot of mud and debris inside - sadly, much of the previous restoration work was probably lost. The original screen was beyond recovery, distorted & bent frame (3" higher on one side!) and cracked Perspex - likely that it was crushed by something heavy being put on top or the boat was turned upside down with all the weight on the screen. I had found the picture you posted on line, I think taken around 2015? interesting to know now that it belonged to a current CMBA member.
