Au contraire Rapier. It's the gears that vary, not the throttle. I can't however, remember what way round is what. I think 40hp + pushes for ahead.

Nick,have the 50's controls got sphere shape knobs on the of the handels as apposed to discs like on the current ones please and thank you,would it be possible to post or send a picture for me,as previously said im now in spain working so cannot post pic of controls,but i will on my return.they are like brand new because i do believe they are prob only a couple yrs old.

P.s got the gale,sound like it needs fuel pump to me, ended up £67.00 Cheap i feel,highams got door flap for evin and spare gale cowl although he hasnt got back to me as yet to confirm
