So use fuel mix not easy start. :thumbsup: I guess with 2 stoke it won't provide the lubrication that is needed for the bearings. Yes addition is true. I've got a friend with a mini that's hooked on it. Will not start unless unless its used regardless of choke or not. Not sure how it happens tho. I ...

Right first will check the compression and then will try the easy start route with a quick flick of choke and see if I get any further. Will have a look in the morning. Also keep meaning to post the serial number to make sure the colours and the age match.

The motor hasn't run on a boat since 1983 :hmmm: but has been run every 3 - 4 years in a wheelie bin to keep it going. Last ran in 2009. Having taken the carb off to have a good look at it and make sure nothing was stuck or blocked I'd suggest they ways ran the motor dry of fuel to stop it gumming a...

Sparks as it should, as you say the timing shouldn't have been changed and it has previously run so why alter it.

I haven't checked the compression, will do that on Wednesday hopefully.
