Got a 60s 33 skitwin, it came on the back of a project (bought as a runner) but I wont be using it.

Hi, Even a 4.5 hp will develop a fair amount of torque, I reckon it would just tear the tube apart in no time, that's even if the clamps could hold on. Looks like the little 16 ft cruiser that Shakespeare did for a short while ( early 70's I think), I used to work on one years ago with a 60 Evinrude fitted.

Nearly Guaranteed to be the UJ Bellows, but if its had salt water in there, there are other issues so tackle it immediately. before the corrosion starts ( which it does quickly) You will probably want to replace the Gimbal bearing while you're in there as it won't last long if it's seen salt water, ...
