Antique Boat Museum - Clayton N.Y.
Unfortunately their biennial regatta is next year 1-3 August, which probably clashes with one of our events, but wouldn't it be fun to go? Watch the video, make sure volume is on 11. ps decided with my knackered knee a sit-in hydro is a good idea; I fancy one of those front engined V8 jobbies! www.a...

Re: British Power Boat Co Runabout? Rebuild started
Hi Mike,
yes you're right, according to Adrian Rance's book Sea King, Sea Queen, Sea Prince, Sea Jack and Sea Rover are all listed at 23ft. I'm sure if you can contact Antoine through the CMC he must have loads of photos of his restoration.
cheers,
c.

Re: British Power Boat Co Runabout? Rebuild started
Hi Mike, take a look at this link. CMC member Antoine Benoit restored 'Miss Paris' his 1938 British Powerboat Sea King back in 2001/2002. I helped source a gearbox for him at the time (that's me mentioned in the text 'Chris Harris') www.cmc-retronautisme.fr/restauration.missparis.htm if that doesn't...

Re: Looking forward to the Ivy Lake run
Don't laugh at the 'RIVA BERTRAM' - I pulled a couple of V8's from a storm wrecked Riva Bertram 25 Sports Fisherman in Kuwait in 1976, so there was definitely an association between the two companies way back when!

Re: Cinderella cradle design
Per,
I have a whole folder of re-construction photos of Penny Too. Too big to email so I'll copy to a disc and post it. I make regular visits to Princess Yachts at Plymouth and will be down there again this month. Please pm your address and I'll pop in for a cuppa!

Crikey! I had a message on my phone yesterday from Doug saying he had a problem, however I didn't listen to it until 9.30pm in Southampton last night, so wouldn't have been much help anyway! I sent an email of apology to Doug today, but had no idea of the severity until I read Geoff's post above jus...

Re: Cinderella cradle design
Hi Per, the cradle is a home made job, I have the photos at home and will send to you. very easy to make out of 4 x 2 and scrap plywood lying around. The castors are great for getting to each side of the boat if you have a limited width workshop like my garage (long and thin!) It was not a tilting c...

Hi Andre,
choke assembly in post to you today, have been given a box of old 350 parts by a work colleague. Not quite the same as your pic, might be an earlier model.
