windscreen rubber
The International Boatbuilding Training Centre in Oulton Broad are restoring a MkI Fenn & Wood Meteor and making a very nice job of it too. They are in need of windscreen rubber, the section that sits on the deck, ie with a small flage on the front edge. It must be very flexible as the Meteor has a ...

Re: Graham Loney
Thanks Chris for posting the details of Graham's premature demise, and for everyone's tributes. He was the first guy I met in the classic boat fraternity in 1989, and got my enthusiasm going. A sad loss. I have been in touch with Graham's family and as soon as funeral details are known I will make a...

Re: Albatross Bow Pennant
Rapier, that penant is shown on the aft pole where the ensign should go. The original set-up can be seen on J4, the forward pole is circular and sits in the top of the jellymould with the burgee exactly as twister describes it. Prone to flying out and disappearing overboard though! Andy Mileham, J4'...

Re: PRE-1975 MERCURY RACING ENGINES
Hi S.O.S! Thanks for showing us your fascinating series of incredible engines! Thought you might like to see my hydro, seeing she's a Canadian design! Thunderbolt III is an E.G.McCrea design 3 pointer, 121" built in the UK in 1956 to his plans. T3 was campaigned with a souped-up 1000cc Evinrude stor...

Re: Booze cruise Hic!
I too have read about this in various trade publications. Having spent most of my boating life in and around the Solent, probably the busiest piece of recreational water in the UK, this is another example of unneccesary government interference in leisure activitites. Yes, there is drinking amongst r...

Done it too!
Strange how we British just lay down and let unelected petty beaurocrats run all over us, then we have to fight like hell to try and get things reinstated. It really is about time people power was restored in this country.
Vive la revolution!

Re: Albatross Boat number ?
Hi, also it may be stamped in the base of the seat, or as in the 2 seater 'J4' (hull 454) it was written in pencil in large numbers under the foredeck! You'll need to send a small child through the inpection hole in the fwd bulkhead!
