Re: River Ouse Rally

Al, It was a pleasure to see you and everyone on the water, two days of glorious sunshine to boot. We certainly gave a good show to the other river folk, even the odd fisherman gave us a wave :D Big thanks to Gary for his recovery skills, your the man. Hope we can do this again in 2014. All the best...

Re: quick question re chris craft

Hi David,

Garys absolutely correct, will run fine, I have a spare battery if needed. It may be worth upsetting the purists and going alternator, its so easy, and throw the "black magic" regulator box in the river!

Regards, Paul

Re: Simmonds

Mine is more or less behind where the driver sits. There is also a number on the oval plate (inside) covering the front compartment.

Re: Simmonds

I have a later type which I date 1961 on as it's stamped 532 on bulkhead (I'm guessing it's no32) ? Maybe a Huwood boat?

Re: What have I forgotten?

Interesting link Geoff, I've remade several delta and albi trailers, and I have never had a "support chain" on an unbraked trailer. My understanding was if it was not fitted from original don't mess.
We can thank our euro friends for the new rules no doubt.

Re: Windermere - going from bad to worse?

I went to Windermere when last years rally was on, stayed at Hill of Oaks, very nice and friendly. Anyway most land is N/Park or private. So only a few dedicated places to land. It's very commercialised with floating buses everywhere. So one has to ask, if we want to go fast, and I did, why pay good...
