Re: Pearly Monarch
An easy way to upload photos is to email the photo to yourself, that way the file is compressed to a size suitable for uploading on the forum .

Unfortunately, these are like hens teeth , when I restored the boat I had a new one made using this one as a pattern, sadly the engineer( then in his 80s) has died, however his son has taken over the business and “may”be able to make one in between his...

Re: Forum vs Facebook
Well said Mel, just to reiterate, not a lot of “senior folk” have a “Facebook “ account, and don’t particularly want one, I myself don’t have one for various reasons, plus a lot of my colleagues likewise ! so keep the forum alive, we need it !

Re: Outboard engine height
Right ok,Rapier, I will go down boat shed soon and take some measurements. Yes the boat is quite a lump and a long shaft Tohatsu 40hp powers it, oddly enough pushes it along quite well all things considered. I will take a close look also at the prop blades. Bearing in mind your concerns about raisin...

Re: Outboard engine height
Ah right, cheers guys I've certainly learned some valuable info here, one thing I have noticed though, on a sharp turn the prop cavitates, however,I only seem to notice it on a left turn, ( am I right in saying it's like a clutch slipping ? ) Prop seems to loose grip and until I ease off the throttl...

Re: Outboard engine height
IMG_1467.JPG It's not the " rooster tail" I may have explained it wrong, if you look at the picture, to the right of the engine cowl you will see a vertical fountain of water ! Yes I've got PTT and engine is toward transom as far as possible, plus the pin you mentioned is in the second hole from th...
