Re: Towing my Boat to Italy
We have stopped at various hotels on the continent when towing with no problems. Just make sure you do not leave stuff in the boat. Don’t thrash the car on the steep alpine passes even though a light boat... Don’t forget spares for the boat too. Last thought, don’t forget to check your boat before g...

Re: Albatross water leak
Yes, there should be a sealed compartment in the bow which will support the mass of the boat if flooded ( it will float with nose out of the water). She is a 1946 16' special runabout with a 6-cyl K engine. They tell me that she is freshly varnished and still in great condition. I don't kno...

just a thought, but our friend in the Netherlands successfully fitted a turbo to his 100e and that goes like a rocket. Given the comments above, that might be an option worth considering.
John will have his details.

Re: Launching on Windermere
In the past I have stayed at the Club as a paying guest, but it was made very clear to me by a member of the committee that the slipway and jetties were not to be used other than in conjunction with, and in the presence of, a full member of the club. I would be very surprised if they were to open th...

Re: Air filters. Albatrosses etc
I believe that Albatrosses were not fitted with air filters; mine has never had any. It is hard to see that you would do a lot of damage, unless you are regularly using it from a windy beach and sand is entering the engine compartment.
