Am keeping mine as a spare. It's in worse condition than yours, with the dents and a bad scratch, a bit of surface rust and paint flake; the dents can be knocked out and my thoughts on the 300 were to spray it phantom black and then use tape to do the lines....

Great care is needed, or else the glue will come away with the bottom of the decal. I used a painter's trowel. Is the Merc 400 cowl...stripped. The Mk55 will go on the 400. Anyone know an acceptable puffer can equivalent to 'cloud white' for the old mercs? Someone mentioned a Mercedes truck / van paint that was a good match....

Been told few times about coco cola ,but sounds bit to risky to me,only spent a hour a night after work , putting oil on to pistons,so lets get finger crossed, hope the weakend works wonders. I guess it wasn't a case of leaving a plug out for a few days then. That looks like it'll need a strip down, but am no expert.
