Re: Great Day on Windermere!!
Similary I have not been back to Windermere since the speed limit but understand your sentiments and am planning to go on the water there next year. Nonetheless, I am somewhat surprised that you were water ski-ing! I hear that they cannot afford rangers on the lake. I presume you registered the boat...
Re: Boesch

Boesch
Called around to a friend of mine in Aston, Birmingham over the weekend who has a collection of boats and cars including a Simmonds and a Daimler SP250! He is doing a complete restoration of a Boesch and making a fine job of it. Do we have any members with these boats? He would like to swap notes et...

Re: Chase Waterpark, West Midlands
Think that would be a good idea - I used to be a member there but didn't get on with the old regime who rarely did anything and did not engage - only put my boat on the water a couple of times - They are geared to hydoplane racing but should be able to accomodate us and there are facilities and it i...

Re: Windermere YOUR FREEDOM
The whole Windermere Speed limit is still a serious issue. I spoke at length to Paul Senior about it at Cardiff- he assures that he is doing what he can on various committees in Windermere to address the subject on our behalf.

Re: Chase Waterpark, West Midlands
I tried to contact them before Cardiff but the last I heard was that they were draining the lake to repair a dam or something but I didn't get a positive vibe before and think they will require a big fee - most places just don't seem to understand us at all - except the Yacht Clubs! Midlands Watersk...

Excellent Kris - thanks for taking the trouble etc - I think it should be published in the magazine - an informal view etc.

Re: Pitsea Museum
Rod I am sure you are right - I visited Falmouth recently and while it is spaceous and modern - I found it a typical museum for the general public and not the hardened boat enthusiast. Trouble with Pitsea was largely its location I think. Think we need to get behind any other suitable museum but don...

Re: 7th CARDIFF BAY CLASSIC - 13th to 15th AUG
Just would like to add my thanks to one and all for a terrific weekend. Looking forward to seeing any Utube film that may be available.
Am certainly up for Windermere next year and interested in any proposed rally in Ireland.

Re: Cotswold Water Park Event - CANCELLED
Am aware that there are a number of lakes there - any chance of boating on a different lake - their website seems to indicate numerous possible options - but I know how difficult these lake authorities can be - I have tried at Chasewater and that has now been drained I think.
