Dont worry about the photo copy I found my Mercury workshop manual earlier I bought it last year in anticipation then completely forgot about it :oops: Is'nt geting older fantastic, at work we call it having a craft moment Cant't remember a ........ thing Sadly the manual doesnt give mounting dimens...

I have the thumbscrews at the top although the thumb parts are missing and seem to have been replaced by mole grips. The lower holes appear to be 8 3/4 inches apart horizontaly and 9 1/2 inches from the top there is another pair of deeper holes higher up not sure if these are for mounting or not me ...

Thanks for the replies, looks like I am a couple of solenoids short for starters, Suprised that power trim was not standard I cant remember ever seeing one without it. As far as drilling in situ goes I was hoping to avoid that as its so chuffing heavy. I thought I would drill the stainless plate fir...

Tilt trim pump is in the boat with four pipes to the motor rams.

Merc 80 mount holes and trim wiring
I have a 1979 Mercury 80 that I intend to fit.It is currently on a stand and chuffing heavy to move. Does anyone have the hole centre dimensions of the clamp to transom mounting bolt pattern from the top of the transom down and from centre out. I have struggled with a tape measure but with tilt rams...
