Been hoarding too long and am overwhelmed by great stuff. Am clearing out my backyard boatyard - if a member of CMBA, am happy to do deals on anything that hasn't been bid on. Everything must go.

Re: Glastron Project
Took advantage of the weather to strip the interior, soak various rotted parts of the ply in CPES, including sections of the floor, then I made some new pads for the used cleats I bought in the US (they have long screws..) and paint the side storage bins. All is cheap plywood and minimal fibreglassi...

Re: Motorised Jockey Wheel
Other option is to buy, or cobble together a towbar mount and one of these?

Re: Pearly Miss - help with value please
Welcome. It's hard to put values on these as they have a following in the fishing community as a cheap buy to convert into a pike fishing boat, i.e. cheaper than the Quicksilvers, Busters, Sea Kings and OMC boats. Mostly this involves removing the foredeck to get more space, but they pay good money ...

Re: Motorised Jockey Wheel
I remember Steve C had a similar incline from garage, around a corner and onto the road. He bought a caravan mover for his Healey 75; which worked well.

Re: Glastron Project
In order to re-lay the Nautolex, the side panels have had to be removed. I managed to get the port panel off yesterday. The cleats and a small aluminium strip at the base of the panel were held on with some unusual self tightening? fasteners that had corroded - would be interested to know what they ...

Re: Glastron Project
Went back to work on the Glastron after a few weeks of messing around with motors, including a Mercury IL6 90hp and an IL4 80 that need work. The boat's deck needed more work, so I set to it with my trusty polisher and some 3M compound / polish and did the hull too. It now looks much better - not qu...

Re: Yamaha 40hp IL3 40VMHO
Maybe will convert to e-start at some stage, but they are easy to pull start. Plenty of short shaft variants around like this, so a good rig for our older classics and at only 75kgs & 43cu.in, is close to a Merc 44cu.in (45hp at the prop) in weight and power, but nicer sounding IMO. The advantage of...
