Glastron CV19; re-engine.

Hello all, I have a Glastron CV19 that I started to refurbish some years ago then stopped the process for various reasons. I'm looking at starting the project again early next year. It has an Oldsmobile 403 cubic inch V8 (6.6 Litres!!) in it which has been stripped, re-bored, has many new parts and ...

Re: Has anybody noticed a distinct slowing down on forum?

I'm ready to abandon ship - the speed of this site is very depressing. I'm sad enough to time how long it takes to load a page; 18 seconds on average. Been like that for months. My enthusiasm for the site is at an all time low. Time to shift loyalties me thinks. :grrr:

Mercruiser Power trim

Dear all, I have a 1968 Mercruiser 120hp. My son has just telephoned me from the boat to say the power trim is working intermittently; sometimes it won't trim up, sometimes it will. I won't be able to look at it until the weekend. Ahead of me doing that - any clues for me? I know the fluid is at the...

Re: Boat Insurance

Thanks Diomedea - I got all the way through with them online and they quoted £153 odds for fully comp. Then they phoned me and said they'd need a surveyor's report because of the age of the boat (1968).

Boat Insurance

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good boat insurer please? I'm tired of plodding through online quote forms from websites only to be told at the end of the process "Sorry, due to the age of your vessel, we are unable to quote". :grrr:

Trailer Refurbishment

I'm looking at refurbishing my 48 year old trailer. I'll shot blast it then re-paint. I want to replace the suspension / hubs / wheels / tyres / mudguards. A question for the forum; are there any suppliers out there you'd recommend to get everything from, or is this an e-bay shopping spree? I want t...
