PM's stuck in outbox?
Hi there, trying to send PM's to 3 different members, and my messages seem to be stuck in my outbox? I only have 8 messages in my inbox and 6 in my sent folder so doesnt seem to be a PM limit issue? Each time I press submit, it says message is sent, but the message still appears in the outbox and no...

Re: New trailer - Can you recommend yours?
RAPIER - thanks for the link. That looks a very sturdy build, sadly it got de-listed an hour later, so I assume it was sold. My boat is actually 14ft, so possibly it was a bit small anyway to fully support the transom ALACTRITY - thanks for the tips. I noticed the leaf springs on the snipe and initi...

New trailer - Can you recommend yours?
Dear all, Happy New Year! Despite the weather, I've decided to dig the boat out anyway and proceed as if it was a sunny spring. :wot: First thing I need to do this year is invest in a new trailer. I am still on the original 1960 trailer with several issues! I have trawled the forum for previous post...

Re: How old is classic???
That's a great question, I've looked for a definitive answer on this before for cars and boats. The tax man classes cars over 25 years old as "Classic" for road tax purposes, but I suspect the true meaning of classic is not just age, but also likely to depend on the heritage of a brand or make. Look...

Re: Cardiff Rally
Thanks to the organisers and also all of those members that greeted us, and made myself and the family very welcome. Special thanks to Rapier for getting us started on Saturday morning (and some minor trailer repairs!). We were delighted to get the boat up and running for the first time and thrilled...

Re: Cardiff Rally
I plan to come down with the family on Saturday for the day and make my introductions. My engine has been serviced and I've tested the boat for leaks, but not had the chance to try her under power yet, so will be her maiden voyage! Anyone brave enough to accompany me on the first run rather than ris...

Re: Trying to identify a Gale outboard
Couldn't take her for a spin due to the throttle cable issue, and more importantly, the river was in flood and fast flowing I paid £6, which ended up being a bargain. After discovering that when I backed the car into the water, the boat was still 18" off the surface, a very kind gent from the chandl...

Re: Trying to identify a Gale outboard
Was about to let you know that she floated with no sign of any leaks! Was great to see her on the water. The bilge was placed in completely the wrong spot (high and dry!), so would have been useless in the event of a drama. Came back with a little list of jobs to do and things to buy - realise now t...
