Hi, we are on for next Sunday. I will pm you my mobile in case there any problems. Can we get the Thames license on the day, or is it best to apply online beforehand - Thanks

Re: Gear selection when dropping gearbox

Thanks for the advice - I have seen people on Utube using metal bolsters - eek

I will proceed with some pieces of wood and some brawn!

Gear selection when dropping gearbox

Morning all, I'm in the process of dropping the gearbox to replace an impellor on a Merc 39 (1967). I've got a half inch gap now, but struggling to get further. Just wondering if it's crucial to position the gear selection lever in a certain position (like neutral for example) before dropping the bo...

Re: Top of the Thames trip

Hi,
If you decide on the 29th, please let me know - we are collecting the kids from parents who live not far from Lechlade, so could possibly join you before collecting them late afternoon

Only niggle in mind is if a 50hp (merc) will cope with 6mph for 3 hrs?

Thanks!

Re: Beale Park Boat Show - BOATS NEEDED

I am travelling back from the US on Friday, but could arrive early Saturday morning. Unfortunately I have the Churchill classic car show on the Sunday, so I will need to leave on Saturday evening. More than happy to man the stand on Saturday though - a living example of a new recruit that has receiv...

Re: Chertsey

As an inexperienced member with less to offer and everything to learn, a huge thanks to the more well known members for launching and recovering me and the new member who towed me to the ramp (after several high speed laps around the lake with me grinning like a school kid) David gave up his day of ...

Re: Saro Terrapin & 25Hp Gale Buccaneer FOR SALE

SOLD to the son of the Managing Director of Saunders-Roe Limited (SaRo). He owns a 2nd Terrapin and has ambitions to restore them as a matching pair for him and his son for sentimental reasons. Great to know it's gone to a worthy home and will be restored to its former glory.

Re: Saro Terrapin & 25Hp Gale Buccaneer FOR SALE

Hi there, sorry for the slow response, work is messing with my social life! Definately looking for another classic, just decided to get something a little bigger and a little faster. I think I'm looking for a 16ft boat (which model, I'm not sure of yet). My thinking is I can still tow a 16 footer wi...
