If you are serious about the trailer then it needs to be blast cleaned, hot zinc spray coated, primed then a good quality enamel paint.

I used to have a Shetland with a Merc 50 and put a Doel fin on to reduce this problem. Seemed better and yes it's ventilation, that is air getting around the prop rather than cavitation which causes the pitting and is the effect of micro implosions in the water causing a shock wave which hits the pr...

The attached pic is rather grainy but the boat shown has markings similar to your craft although the bow area looks a bit shorter.
It was taken circa 1962 on Ullswater and, I think the boat was called Snapdragon, but it was a long time ago.Re: Insurance
