Thanks for posting those images, Sweep.
I'll see what the one that's on its way to me is like - I bought it as "working".
I was tempted to get a company I've used before to service the motor - but maybe it's a case of "let sleeping dogs lie"?

Re: Glastron Carlson CV 19 SS (1974)
Ten years of rain water had filled the petrol tank; my boat cover got ripped right where the tank filler cap should be (but I'd removed it years ago!) and water had been dripping into the fuel tank. I couldn't shift the tank, given the weight, and with no hose pipe to hand to suck the water out, two...

Re: Glastron Carlson CV 19 SS (1974)
After a few false starts over the past ten years (!!!), I have started the restoration of my Glastron in earnest. In the past, I had stripped some bits off it and sourced a lot of new engine parts and had a lot of machining done on the engine and stripped the jet drive, but everything has literally ...

Re: Power Trim Pump
Hello,
No - it is the full pump.
The innards of the motor were shot - it's 50 years old!
I have managed to source one on e-bay from the USA.
It should be with me in 10 days.
Many thanks for your help.

Power Trim Pump
Hello,
I'm looking for a power trim motor for a 120hp Mercruiser - late 1960s vintage.
The one on my engine has given up the ghost.
I'm going to try and get it repaired - but a replacement / refurbished one would be good.
Picture attached for reference.
Many thanks!

Re: Towing my Boat to Italy
Dear all, Thank you for your replies and advice. A bit more "meat on the bones" for you... Last August I spent 5 days in Bellagio on Lake Como on business. I thought it would be great to take my boat there for a few weeks this summer. I made enquires recently and I have reserved a berth in this smal...

Towing my Boat to Italy
Hello, I'm thinking about towing my 15' speedboat boat from mainland UK to Italy during the Summer. I know it will be (in theory!) post Brexit, and there may be some uncertainties currently, but is there anything drastic I need to be aware of? My trailer is a 18 month old Indespension braked one (bo...
