Re: Albatross Fender insert
just for info, I have put a few more photo's on photobucket of the PVC1022 fitted to the rail. The outer edge of the insert finishes just where the radius of the rail starts, I dont think it could get any closer without having a proud edge, hopefully the new pictures will show a this a little better...

Re: Albatross Fender insert
that insert looks like it has a small overlap on the top edge..I think I would prefer to go with the PVC 1022 which is almost off the shelf...anybody else have any thoughts?

Albatross A series Fuel Filler
I need to sort out a fuel filler cap for my A series. I know most boats seem to use 'monza' style caps but I'm just wondering if mine may have had something different fitted. There is 2" o/d x 1 5/8" i/d tube fitted to the underside of the rear deck by means of 'turning over' a thin wall section ove...

Re: Albatross Fender insert
I used a blunt screw driver to push it in, however a blunt hard plastic strip would be better to ensure no damage to the insert or the ali channel. I expect on a full boat length a small amount of vaseline or similar would make things easier. Its a good tight fit once its in, the remains of the inse...

Re: Albatross Fender insert
Just got home from work, found a sample of PVC 1022 as supplied by Wilks extrusion on the door step. Although at first glance it looks too wide to fit the Ali channel, with a little effort it fits a treat and due to the tight fit 'rounds' out nicely. Prices are £140 for 19m and £220 for 30m. I will ...

Re: Albatross Fender insert
Hi Tatraman, have you got details of the insert. Is BenH getting it remade or has he now got surplus stock?

Albatross Fender insert
I'm after a supplier for the rubber insert on my A Series. I have tried a sample of PVC1022 as supplied by Wilks and Sealsdirect but it's too big on the internal part of the insert. Anyone have any other suppliers or a boat length sitting in their garage?
