Re: Wanted 1960'S OUTBOARD

Oh I don't know IMG_0570.JPG That said, the boat I use on the river is four stroke powered  The downside is that it's single cylinder (5hp) which vibrates through the cable steering. The little 60s 5 1/2 Johnson 2 stroke twin I used to use was just as quiet and smoother although more thirsty. ...

Re: Broom saturn restoration project

Useful guide for fibreglass boat repair here https://www.westsystem.com/wp-content/uploads/Fiberglass-Manual-2015.pdf It's written by West System so references their products but is equally applicable to any epoxy. Or a good old fashioned book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fiberglass-Boat-Repair-Manual/d...

Here is a good starter: http://broomspeedboat.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2008-05-06T11:24:00%2B01:00&max-results=14 Personally I wouldn't separate the hull and deck unless you really hav...

Re: Engine cutting out - potential causes

That's irritating, putting it mildly. I would still be looking for electrical causes because you say it fires up again straight away, so fuel problems are less likely. How about:- Kill cord wiring and switch if fitted. Ignition switch, particularly if it's like the car type that switches the ignitio...
