Agree! We hope to be up there by 11h30 like last time.. (it only opens at 12) and will be coming by 'sea', so should be OK.
Are you able to make it?

Only other point of note is NOT to come off the M27 at Jct8....there is always a car boot sale on Sundays at ...

Re: Itchin and Scratchin run - May 24th
Here are the details:- Launchsite is: Crosshouse Road, Southampton, S014. 9h30 (or earlier) meet in carpark. The slipway is shallow but wide (and slippery....) it has no mooring / pontoon facilities, so we'll work out a launch sequence on the day that sees the deeper draft and more fagile boats look...

Re: Gelcoat
Thanks! I bought a 60's boat last week and then left it behind as the tyres were very perished, the bearings shot and suspension largely gone too. The cost and time of doing 150 miles again and fixing it was uneconomical. I'd taken hubs and bearings, a jack, 2 tons of tools and 8 straps.. but not wh...

Gelcoat

I've done largish sections with a melamine mold, but that was 15deg off vertical and not a great success... Would be interested in how to do..it flows like ic...

Re: Johnson Shaft Bits Wanted
AS far as I know is the same as the 18 and Geoff has about 4 of those, so you'll recognise. He has 3 sizes, the 35/40 (with outer shroud plates too), the 18/25 (some are NOS) and some small versions from the 50's and 60s 3,4 and 5hp Yachtwins and 5.5hp / 6hp Evinrde / Johnson.

Re: Interglass / Birchwood Thunderball / Thunderski
I'd seen a bare bull attributed to Rocca (France) and filed it away. This is on ebay.de; interesting as must have come from the Healey molds...and appears to have a longshaft transom and a 6 pot in some pics..

Itchin and Scratchin run - May 24th
Is anyone up for this date? Weather / tides permitting is great fun and offers the oppurtunity to test run your boat in company.
Here are the details of the run we did on March 15th, all welcome - including 'foot' passengers.
