Hi all,
I'm trying to discover some recent history of Little Miss Windermere, a Daimler V8 powered Symonds last seen heading towards Scotland some years ago. Can anyone offer any clues?
Thanks if you can.

Re: Simmonds
Well - my guess is that the Daimler engine was fitted from new at the Jaguar works in Browns Lane and that would have been 1961/62 - which is why I date it as that period. I have never been able to find a boat number on the bulkhead.

It would ...

Had a fun day sorting out the Simmond's Daimler engine which failed on Windermere yesterday. Getting wet with the hose in the cooling system etc!! It seems one of the float chambers had jammed open flooding one bank of cylinders but also the ...

Re: Ford Consul 1703 Raw Water Cooled
Whilst I run a Daimler V8 in my Simmonds - the cooling system is the same with a closed circuit running through ribs in the hull plus a raw water pump to cool oil, manifolds and the exhaust. The pumps in mine are the original Jabscos ...

Re: Inherited Speedboat
Well it certainly has distinctive styling. If those wings were on a car - I would say you have something made between 1960 and 1965 and I have these on my Daimler car. Sorry I can't help on make of boat - does it have any clues at all?
