Same here. I sent the money but they kept asking for a photo. Irritated me.

I just sent one after realising they could just find it on Google anyway.

Re: Any idea on model and age before I buy this

The Windermere registration stickers will indicate when it was last used.

If I recall correctly, the 33hp engine is heavy for its power and especially noisy - when it runs…!

Re: Albatross Mark 3 - Next project

I’d agree on the fuel pump. The old SU pumps were awful, and I went solid state in about 1994 and never had a problem since. I use Facet pumps. I have changed it once when the boat was flooded with rain water… I believe that is is possible to find a solid state pump that looks like an old SU pump, (...

Re: What Battery

We always use Optima red top batteries. Sealed and more robust, which is always good on a boat where it might get rough treatment.

Kind regards

Re: can any one identify this boat

The serial plate for an albatross is on the rear crossmember aft of the hatch, and looks like it isn’t there. The new photos do indeed demonstrate it is an albatross. John Fildes could probably work out what model/age. The issue with your engine might be length, as it has to use the prop shaft in th...

Re: can any one identify this boat

Lots of clues suggesting a very hacked-around albatross with a replaced windscreen, Different rear hatch etc.

A brave purchase...!
