Re: What make is this boat ?

1958 Merryfield with 1958 Mercury Mk 30 for sale

Reluctantly for sale due to a new project which is taking up the space... This pretty little boat was originally restored by Rapier and has been within the CMBA ever since. I've carried out a lot of work on the trailer (but it still needs a repaint), reworked the seat mounts so the seats fit in bett...

Re: Clarke Troller

Just spotted this post - for what it's worth, I have one of these in bits awaiting restoration. Not in bad nick, but needs some parts making. Watch this space, but don't hold your breath!

Re: Pitsea Museum

I wish you well - but I think you may be a bit too late! When I was at the museum a few weeks back to pick up Ian II, the place looked like a bomb had hit it, odd exhibits scattered around waiting to be repatriated, just a mess. In contrast, it looked like a whole lot of the Council's cash had been ...

Re: Propellors

I'd suggest Propeller Solutions, in Dorset. www.propellersolutions.co.uk/ They've always done my race props, and also they finish the Albatross/Delta props that we sell. Always a nice job, just tell them what you want done and the finish you need. Talk to Brian or Thomas, tell them I sent you and th...

Re: Custom Canopy - suppliers?

Thanks for the mention, Simon!

We can do this, no problem - and hopefully rather better than the one shown in the photo!

Send me a PM to discuss further.

Re: Albatross Model

You're welcome to come and measure my Continental Mk II, which is in Norwich.

I think you might have already done some measuring on this a while back though - in which case it'd be good to see you again!

Third Party Insurance - CMBA Members Discount

I've succeeded in negotiating a discount for CMBA members on the Third Party policy offered by The Basic Boat Liability Company.

More details and an application form are available in the 'CMBA Clubhouse' Section of the forum.
